paper bag in microwave
Hi everyone! I wanted to adidas sale make some caramel popcorn with my grandson for the weekend, so of course we needed to make some popcorn! I pulled out my little air popper (which I don’t normally use) and we went to poppin’! We made two batches at first (which didn’t really make a lot of “popped” kernels. I have been making popcorn in a brown bag in the microwave (since someone sent me an email about it!) so I decided to make the same amount of popcorn in the microwave and see how many “popped” kernels we got out of 2 batches.
From the 2 1/2 cup batches we made in the air popper we got back about 1/2 cup of unpopped kernels left over! (1/2 of what we put in!) Then, by popping adidas sale it in the pap adidas sale er bag(again using about 1/2 cup of popcorn 2 times ,we got back about 1/8 of a cup of “unpopped” kernels . I then took ALL the leftover kernels (trying to be frugal!) and put them in the bag and tried it again. All but a few kernels popped and it took a little more than 2 minutes per batch instead of the 10 minutes it took that little air popper for each batch!
SOoooo if you’re thinking of getting an air popper (or have already bought one) for Christmas, take it back to the store and buy a pkg of large brown paper bags and a bag of regular popcorn kernels. You shouldn’t spend more than $5.00 and you’ll be popping corn for months as compared to the cost of a box of microwave popcorn!
Here’s the recipe:
1 brown lunch bag
1/2 cup popcorn adidas sale kernels
Pour the kernels into the bag and fold the bag down 2 3 folds. Stand bag up in microwave (if you have a smaller microwave use the smaller bags and put 1/4 cup of kernels inside) set time for 2 minutes, but when you hear the pops slow down be ready to open the door. If your timer is getting close to the 2 minute cut off, add 30 seconds to the timer and grab the door when the popping almost stops. Otherwise you’ll have burnt corn, and nothing smells worse than burnt popcorn! Add some spray butter and /or your favorite popcorn seasoning and you’re ready for your favorite movie or to start making caramel popcorn!
