Lake County drops home finale

Captains manager Scooter Tucker and third baseman Joe Sever were in reflective moods as the Captains packed their bags for the bus ride to Bowling Green, Ky. and a season ending, three g adidas originals ame series against the Hot Rods.

Tucker is soon to finish his first season as adidas originals a manager and second season in the Indians’ minor league organization. Last season, he was hitting coach for the advanced Class A Carolina Mudcats.

“The most important thing I’ll take away from this season is the importance of patience,” Tucker said. “You have to realize these guys are just learning the game.”

Not surprisingly, it was the losing that proved to be the biggest disappointment for Tucker.

“We all knew what the record was,” Tucker said. “At 140 games, it’s a long, lon adidas originals g season. It feels even longe adidas originals r when you get down early (in the standings) like we did.”

The most rewarding part of the experience, Tucker said, was watching seven of the players who started the season with the Captains earn promotions to Carolina.
