I am a basket case by now. As a nurse I need to feel like I am in control over the situation. They live in Kentucky and frequently take curvy country roads. So this morning on a wet curvy road another lady was going to fast and hit her. DD flipped her car. Luckily all air bags deployed and they had seat belts on. But while you are upside down, kind of trapped by your air bag and can’t get your seat belt off you feel trapped. And you know that your children and older girls best friend is in the same situation in the back seat. So the friend was able to get out of her seat belt, she was in the middle and didn’t have an air bag and then helped one girl get out of hers. My little one managed to squirm enough to get out of hers. DD finally got out of hers after screaming for someone to get a knife and cut it and feeling helpless. Of course as soon as she got out she dropped to hit the top of the car which or course now is the bottom of the car. They went to the hospital, DD had xrays and cat scan and they said her neck was just strained. The girls were OK except the friend who injured her shoulder and some bruises and was put in a splint. This car needed to be junked anyway but that’s the condition they bought it anyway because of the financial st adidas flux atus. The lady who hit them couldn’t show proof of insurance but said she had it. DD doesn’t have a cell phone that she can call from, only text if she has access to wi fi. So we are texting like crazy tonight, takes me a long time to one finger text. She feels terrible and this is supposed to be the best day she will fell for several days.
Their attitude towards life is to believe that God will take care of your needs and that is why they have lived in some of the conditions they have. Somehow by the grace of God their clunkers called cars make it another day. Somehow another bag of clothes will show up at church with their name on it and the kids still wear designer clothes to school. So i am afraid that she won’t come down hard on this wom adidas flux an to pay for everything and she has the kind of insurance settlement that will provide for her chiropractic care in the future. my husband wants to drive right down there and let them use one of our cars far as long as they need it. This lady needs to have her insurance do that! In all of her jobs she always fights for what is right and if people get hurt because they don’t pay rent and have to be evicted, she knows that’s the rules. But in her own. life they kind of depend on Go to look out for them.
I think I a taking an Ambien tonight. With all the problems with my sister and then this, bot adidas flux h my shoulders are taken up and I can’t handle anymore and I know that I need to take care of that problem also.
You just reminded me. I was hit from behind a few years back. We kept contacting the mom of the person who hit me (she was the one “handling” this for her daughter), she would tell us she was getting the run around from her insurance. So my husband demanded her insurance information (she had given it to the police officer but not me).
Hubby called the insurance directly. Get this, the insurance company told us she was no longer insured with them. Turns out, she dropped her insurance right after her daughter hit me! But because she was insured when she hit me the insurance company got right on taking care of all of the damage that was done. THEY were very good to us, SHE was not!
Just a side note, I didn’t have my proof of insurance with me when this happened, oops, but she had hers. Police should have responded to the accident you daughter was in, if they did, they ran your daughter and the other lady’s license. If she was uninsured she would have been ticketed on the spot for that.
Everyone is OK today. Finding bruises and aches and pains that weren’t there yesterday but they knew this would be the way it would be. It’s terrible to have an accident on a holiday weekend. The police officer that responded was off today and hasn’t filed the police report yet! I told Christina that she may have to force her insurance company to be her advocate here and get the leg work done for her. My husband has been moping around today. I know if I said lets go that we would be on the road right away to handle everything. But both daughter and SIL think that Dad here can get a little overbearing and he needs to realize that they will work together and get it done, maybe not the way he would do it but my husband needs to let them. She called him today and he calmed down just hearing she is OK and she does seem to be on top of things. And just as I expected, her church friends have all reached out, a car is available, free legal help, any help d adidas flux oing chores, running kids around etc. But the insurance company needs to provide the car, not church members.
I talked to my little one, the 6 year old. of course anytime Grandma is on the phone she has to have her time. So she takes the cell phone and walks me into the kitchen me ‘showing me’ what she has on the kitchen floor. Of course I can’t see it but she is trying to hold the phone, talk with both hands, hmmm wonder who she got that from. So she says the salt shaker since it is white is the other ladies car and the pepper shaker since it is darker is our red car, The napkin holder is the big side of the road (embankment) we ran into. Grandma we were diagonal!!!!! The we just fell over on the back. And we were hanging upside down. She she is showing me all this and she is just so sweet I want to hug her but she is sore!
